Impossible ?

For Welsh Designer Ross Lovegrove, It’s the future only if it’s impossible !
It’s the future only if it’s impossible !
The father of organic design, the Welch designer Ross Lovegrove likes, as many great creators, to start projects by searching for impossible ideas.
Utopia is his entry point!
We tend to build a new project starting with what exists. Then we try to introduce here or there, wherever possible, some novelty or originality. That’s the usual way we all, are following. From the very outset, Lovegrove looks for the breakthrough, the approach to get inside of change: he searches for inspiration, directions beyond the known, out of the usual, far from the obvious and the common.
His creative approach involves identifying an attractive impossible solution, indeed, an I m p o s s i b l e solution, then making the impossible p o s s i b l e, feasible, real. So he has designed numerous projects for his world-class clients working on new materials, new shapes, new technologies.
In 2005 he received the World Technology Award for Design. Apple, Airbus, Tag Heuer and Olympus are among his clients. His creations are part of the permanent collections of the MOMA in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and of the Design Museum in London.
His famous chair “Supernatural” and his water bottle created for the Ty Nant spring waters are icons of the 21st century design, masterpieces of “organic essentialism”.
